Friday, January 28th, 2005 – Pacific Ocean

4:17pm- 1:17am Est. (1/29/05) - Well after two January 27ths, where one was so bad that we got a second chance to try and make it better, it finally is a different day. Morale among the passengers has been low today, so much to the extent that when Captain Radican went over the PA system at 3:00pm and said, “As I’ve been going around the ship I’ve noticed that many of you are in a funk. I don’t know if that’s because there is a gray sky out today but I bet you either want to know what the weather is going to be like or where we are going?” At that moment you could tell that everyone perked up wanting to know where we were headed. “Well we are going to Hawaii. You will all have an opportunity to lie out in a tropical place for a couple of days,” he informed as you could hear people cheering in the background.

So we are going to Honolulu. Our estimated time of arrival is February 1st, however if we get a good push from the weather we can get there earlier (the only problem being that we can only enter the harbor in day light). Hopefully we’ll get a couple days off as the ship gets repaired. The shipping company, V Shipping is sending representatives and engineers from Monaco and Miami to come inspect the ship. Who knows what will happen to us?
