Saturday, February 19th, 2005- Hong Kong

Today is the last day of classes before I leave to go to Vietnam tomorrow. After class, Ari and I went in search of the ever elusive deals on electronics. We took the subway to downtown Kowloon where we came across a diamond in the rough in terms of finding computer and game systems. It was a two storied market that took up a city block with stall after stall of merchandise. The most popular item being sold was the new Playstation PSP (a new handheld videogame system) that is not yet available in the US.
After a couple hours spent perusing the market we headed back to the hotel and then off to experience Pizza Hut. Now I must say that in the US I don’t ever go to Pizza Hut but I do remember that it is dark and dank inside. When we went into the Pizza Hut in Hong Kong however it was luxurious with a nice décor and a wide selection of food and wine. The pizza was surprisingly different with it being a whole lot less greasy.
We then sat outside a 7-11 and got wireless internet from some guy’s apartment upstairs.
