Thursday, March 3rd, 2005- Bay of Bengal

I took the second global studies test today. After classes I decided that I needed to take a break and relax so I headed out to the deck with Amanda to read and write some emails. We ended up chilling in the pool. While we were in the pool the ship ran a surprise “Man Overboard” drill. The whole ship came to a halt and turned very sharply to the left. The water started to pour out of the pool and we were at an angle where we were looking down on the ocean. The wave of pool water across the deck nearly took my bag to the depths of the ocean but my friend Rachel grabbed it off the deck before the water hit. Other people were not so lucky. One girl’s IPOD was totally drenched and ruined.
