Wednesday, January 19, 2005- Pacific Ocean

10:27am(ship)- 1:27pm Est.- As soon as we hit the Pacific Ocean last night the ship began to rock, roll, bounce. It’s like a $15,000 roller coaster that never stops. I feel sea sick, although so far not too bad. As I write this it all of a sudden got a lot worse. The ocean is rough due to a storm taking up all of the Pacific. It has gotten so bad that they have closed the outside of the ship so we must all stay inside.

10:31pm(ship)- 1:31am Est.- Still going through being sick and what not. The good thing is that I have yet to pray to the porcelain Gods (knock on wood). Not too many exciting things happened today, pretty much just orientation to different things on the ship. We did however have our introductory class to Global Studies which is a class that everyone takes on the ship (including the people that work in the offices). It is basically an overview of each country and we must know all the countries in the world. It seems likie it will be very interesting.

Some interesting facts for today:

- Less than 1% of the people living or dead have had the opportunity to go around the world.
