Monday, March 7th, 2005- Agra -> New Delhi

We left at 7am to go watch the sunrise at the Taj Mahal. There were not many people there and it had just rained so the massive amounts of mosquitoes that had been predicted were no where to be found. The sunrise was beautiful but it soon became overcast and began to drizzle on and off.
We then went to Fort Agra where the king was imprisoned but able to see his wife’s tomb (Taj Mahal) just down the river from his window. Rain began to emanate from the sky, as did thunder. As we hustled back to the buses we were again enveloped by hawkers. Our next stop was surprise, another department store type handicraft shop. While there we saw a demonstration on Kashmir marble cutting.
After buying absolutely nothing, the Pizza Hut next to the hotel beckoned us for the traditional Indian delicacy, cheese pizza. After lunch we walked around a bit and then just killed time until we had our SAS dinner at Pizza Hut and then depart for the train station. On our 8:40pm train back to New Delhi we were all seated in first class with the stark differences being that it was air conditioned, we had our own individual seats, and there was a free meal service. We got to New Delhi around midnight and I checked into my room which again had two week old wrestling on the TV.
