Today I went with Shannon and this other guy JB (who we met at breakfast) and headed to Hong Kong Island. We took the bus to Stanley Market on the the southernmost part of the island that was very pretty with beach resorts and very tropical looking scenery. The market was very crowded and we could tell was a tourist trap when in the middle of the market was a beautiful French café chain.
After we went to the market we went to downtown Hong Kong for a while. There was a lot of upper class shopping, but were unable to find markets where we could get good deals.
