Wednesday, February 16th, 2005- Beijing => Hong Kong

We check out of our hotel and then headed to the Temple of Heaven. On the way to the Temple we had to walk through a park that was filled with many people being active. Activities included ballroom dancing, a form of badminton, and tai chi.
The temple was finished in 1420 and was a place for the Emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties to worship and pray for a good harvest. In total there were 23 emperors that worshipped there.
There were many Chinese tourists and school children at the temple; both young and old were having friendly snowball fights. Since Beijing only gets snow 3-4 times a year they were really enjoying it.
Our group then went off to have an early lunch and then headed to the airport for our flight to Hong Kong.
We arrived in Hong Kong around 7:20pm and took coach buses to the Panda Hotel in Kowloon. The bad part was that we had to wait 1 ½ - 2 hours to check in.
Other random stuff:
- Roommate for Beijing and Hong Kong, Adam is really sick with viral infection and since the hotel is at capacity I can’t change rooms.
- Had a nutritious dinner of French fries and nachos made from Doritos in the Hotel Bar with the entertainment of 2 ladies butchering many American songs.
